Remembering 911

A tribute to those who lost their lives and those who sacrificed to save lives on 9/11/2001.

Focus your Faith to Have Peace with God

James 1:8 tells us not to be double minded. When we are double minded we are unstable in all of our ways. Our focus must remain on Jesus and the Word of God at all times. According to I John 5:3-5 it is our faith and our belief in Jesus that gives us the victory in this world. If you want peace in this world, keep your focus on Jesus and His word. You can and will always triumph through Him!

Ask, Seek, Knock

Revelation 3:20, Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. Jesus stands at our hearts door. Are we perceptive to hear Him knocking? What a change in your life when you do answer Him! He loves you! www.briananddanamoomey.com

Ask, Seek, Knock Pt. 2

Luke 11:9-10, So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Asking is saying a prayer, seeking is more persistent and knocking goes into a deeper persistent using more effort. The important thing to remember is to ask in the faith and in the name of Jesus and don't doubt or give up!

Out With the Old, In With the New

We are ending another year and beginning a new year. The word of God tells us in Ephesians 4:22-24 to get rid of your old self and for us to put on the new self, which is created in God's likeness. The end of the year is a time of reflection and asking ourselves, "what do I need to change or work on in the new year?" Do I need to forgive anyone? Ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins and ask Him to help you in the new year!

It is Finished!

Jesus' last words were, "It is finished." This means He successfully completed the work He came to do. According to Galatians 3:13-14, Jesus redeemed us from the curse of the law. Jesus bought back, rescued, restored, liberated us from the curse. Here's another way to say it, Jesus reversed the curse! Listen with us as we explain Jesus' redemptive work on the cross! www.sosministries.life

It is Finished Pt. 2

There are four things we can do to finish our race and be able to say, "It is finished" like Jesus. Number one we need to stay focused on Jesus. Number 2 we need to get away and pray. Number 3 we need to follow after Jesus and run our race and number 4 we need to finish our race and stay in the faith! 2 Timothy 4:7, I have fought the good (worthy, honorable, and noble) fight, I have finished the race, I have kept (firmly held) the faith. Believing Beyond Boundaries

Sometimes we need to stretch ourselves. We need to stretch beyond our boundaries to accomplish something. It takes faith, trusting God and stepping out and believing to accomplish a goal. Moses before crossing the Red Sea came up against a boundary or limitation. He stretched is rod over the sea and believed that God would deliver them. He did, God did and they walked across to the other side. Step out in faith and believe God!

Don't Let the Devil Win

I John 3:8, He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Whatever test, trial, circumstance, addiction is holding you back, don't let the devil win! With the help of the Jesus you can overcome and live victorious in this life! God cares and loves you. Let Him help you live victorious!

No Weapon Formed Against Us Can Prosper

Isaiah 54:17 tells us that no weapon formed against us shall prosper. Our enemy, the devil, tries to destroy us in whatever way he can. This scripture says he cannot win. In Luke 10:19 also tells us that we have authority over ALL the power of the enemy. Don't let the devil win in your life. We have authority over him! We are more than conquerors through Jesus who loves us! (Romans 8:37) There is victory in Jesus!

Following the Way, Living the Truth

John 14:6, Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. Jesus will make a way for you because He is the way! His Truth reaches to the greatest depths and the greatest heights and sets you free! Jesus brings Life into any situation! Accept Him as Lord and Savior and watch Him bring a way, truth and life!

Following the Way, Living the Truth Pt. 2

Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life! He can work in any situation you are going through. Give your life to Him and watch Him make a Way for you, become Truth to you and bring you Life! (John 14:6)

Strength in Weakness: How God Empowers Us

We have all tried to do things in our own strength. We have all tried to "help" God. Even Moses tried to deliver Israel in his own strength. Forty years later he did it God's way! Don't walk in your own strength and do everything your way. Learn to trust and lean on God and do things in His strength. 2 Cor. 12:9, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Duty, Honor, Sacrifice: A Memorial Day Reflection

The ultimate sacrifice! Giving you life so someone else can have freedom!  John 15:12-13, This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. Thank you to all of our military branches for giving the ultimate sacrifice and thank you to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for giving the ultimate sacrifice so we can have eternal life!
